January 2014 – How to Measure Effectiveness of Your Web Campaigns Without Keyword Data

As of October Google is blocking all natural search keyword data.  In this advanced training video we discuss a few ways to help fill the void of missing keyword data including the following:

  • Monitoring rank data
  • Filtering Google analytics by landing page and traffic medium
  • Google webmaster tools reporting
  • Keyword data from paid search campaigns

We cover how to set up and use Google’s new search query reports for tracking your site’s SEO performance. The old report is
useless as 90% of keywords now show as being “(not provided)”.   The new report is fairly well hidden, but appears to be accurate and
useful.
