Lighting Tips for Shooting Interview Style Videos

  1. Shut off all fluorescent lights
  2. Use as much natural light as possible
  3. A large piece of white foam board can be used as a reflector to fill in the shadows.
  4. If another light source is to be used, make sure the bulbs are in the 5300-5600K temperature range to blend in with the daylight. Home Depot lights should work.
  5. Don’t set up right next to a wall, looks weird.
  6. Stay away from striped or busy clothing patterns. Total black or white clothing might be difficult for their camera.
  7. Most important, have fun!
